Sendinblue Review Summary

Sendinblue was founded by Armand Thiberge and Kapil Sharma in 2007. Today, Sendinblue is used by over 200,000 businesses worldwide. In general, Sendinblue is used by small to medium size businesses.

Sendinblue’s core offering is email and SMS marketing. The platform does include other tools including a CRM and live chat. Its free plan includes most major features found in Sendinblue paid plans, although you are limited to 300 emails per month. Two of Sendinblue’s strengths are the ability to A/B test drip campaigns, and preview emails for over 40 clients and devices. These features are typically not included in similarly-priced solutions.

However, Sendinblue’s email templates and third-party integrations are limited. Also, Sendinblue does not include live chat support, and only includes phone support in its Premium and Enterprise Plans.

Sendinblue starts at $25 per month. Its pricing is based on monthly email volume, and includes an unlimited number of contacts in all plans. Most competitive solutions, like Campaign Monitor and Mailchimp, are priced based upon your number of contacts. Sendinblue’s pricing makes it cheaper for businesses that have a lot of contacts, but don't send many emails per contact.

  • If you prefer to pay solely based upon monthly email volume, and would like your email marketing solution to include SMS marketing, CRM and live chat, we recommend Sendinblue.
  • If you prefer to be unrestricted by email volume, and would like to pay based upon your number of contacts, we recommend Campaign Monitor.
  • If your business needs a solution that integrates with a high volume of third-party software solutions, we recommend Mailchimp.
  • If you want to compare Sendinblue to another solution that also offers CRM, drip campaign A/B testing, and an email preview tool, consider testing ActiveCampaign.

Email Builder

Sendinblue includes a drag-and-drop email editor and pre-designed email templates. You can add different design elements to your emails such as text, images, buttons, and headers. Sendinblue also allows you to add multiple columns and wrap text around images.

Sendinblue Email Builder

Relative to similarly-priced solutions, Sendinblue’s email builder is not robust. There are less design elements you can add, and you have less control over your email’s formatting. Also, Sendinblue only includes 65 pre-built email templates which is less than most of its competitors.

Sendinblue includes a preview tool that shows you how emails will appear on different email clients. Sendinblue’s preview tool is more robust than many other similarly-priced email marketing solutions. This table shows which types of clients and devices you can preview emails for.
